Procedures of clearing and settlement for securities transactions at VSDC upon applying the non-prefunding mechanism for foreign institutional investors
Implementing Circular no.18/2025/TT-BTC dated 26/4/2025 by the Ministry of Finance on revising a number of Circular no.119/2020/TT-BTC dated 31/12/2020 by the Minister of Finance on regulating securities registration, depository, clearing and settlement, Circular no.96/2020/TT-BTC dated 16/11/2020 by the Minister of Finance on guiding information disclosure in the securities market with a number of revised articles in accordance with Circular no.68/2024/TT-BTC dated 18/9/2024 by the Minister of Finance, Viet Nam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) has adjusted the procedures of clearing and settlement for securities transactions in accordance with new regulations, including coordination steps between related parties (securities companies, custodians, VSDC, and settlement banks) to settle stock purchase transactions that do not require sufficient fund when placing orders by foreign institutional investors (General flowchart attached in Vietnamese - English).
